The Best of Instagram Photoshop Actions

Daniel Box recently searched the web for Photoshop instructions on editing photos Instagram-style. Surprisingly he came up empty-handed, and being a proactive photographer, artist and creative director, he cooked up his own batch of actions.

After my own search, it seems Daniel's are some of the best actions that specifically mimic Instagram. Starting with the “Nashville” filter, he has since added "Earlybird,” auto-cropping, “Brannan, X Pro II, Sutro, Lomo-fi, Inkwell, Lord Kelvin, Walden, Gotham, Hefe, and Toaster." He also created 5 borders, similar to Instagram's, that can be applied with a single click in Photoshop. Danile is offering a free download at his tumblog. Be sure to stop by and say thank you.

Aperture Presets also developed a Lo-Fi Bundle of commands for Aperture, which look like they might have some nice results (they also have a Hipstamatic set). And Lightroom Presets has a similar bundle for lightroom. Both of those packages can be found for purchase at their respective sites.
