The Bookseat: A Solution for Small Spaces and Modern Furniture Design

Design, bookseat, fishtnk

Designed by the Toronto-based multidisciplinary studios Fishbol+Fishtnk, the Bookseat utilizes space and design for purpose and aesthetic. The chair would be perfect in a small space (e.g. my apartment) to increase storage and display options or in a larger space as a modern statement piece.

They introduced the chair design in 2008 at the Toronto International Design Show, but their new model will be LEED certified—with locally sourced materials—and will include a custom cushion. Currently, Fishtnk is offering a pre-order, but you must contact them by email for more information, including the price, which is unlisted.
