  • London-based lawyer Tom Wigley used to love making model airplanes, but over the years his models were crushed or "the subject of ritual burnings." Instead of resurrecting the modeling, he chose to gather a collection of images of his favorites he built models of and those which he wish he'd made. His collection of more than 1,200 images is wealth of design history, innovation and inspiration.

  • Designed by German branding and design agency Peter Schmidt Group, these bags for John & John British potato crisps take snack packaging to a much higher level. The graphic color blocks make the bags look more like carefully crafted poster designs and less like the average chip bag. I could honestly see these successfully framed in a collection.

  • Art Director Kapil Bhimekar and Leo Burnett Dubai wanted to capture the spirit of Sugar Daddy's mission in their packaging. The bakery is known for a unique and changing array of flavors, so they created 11 different packaging designs using interesting typography and illustration.

  • Tim Boelaars does some excellent vector illustrating and icon crafting. The Amsterdam-based illustrator and designer bends angles to his will, creating icons with just the right amount of detail to stand out but not so much that they stop being icons.

    First up are these icon-like illustrations for Tenue de Nîmes, a denim boutique in Amsterdam.

  • Brainstorm is the Portsmouth-based printing, design and illustration studio of Jason Snyder and Briana Feola. Some of my favorite prints they've created feature slightly science-nerdy themes. They did a great job graphically translating the layers of our world with big blocks of color, clever details and nice type. Take a look!
