Frank: Hot Dogs, Cold Beer, Tasty Design

A little ways back I shared the identity and web design of Austin Beerworks created by Helms Workshop. Today I read an interview with Christian Helms over at Method and Craft.

Helms is a young designer who has quickly made a name for himself and transitioned from agency to studio to founding his own studio. He is also a co-owner and the identity designer of Frank, a playful and well-crafted "purveyor of artisan sausage" in Austin.

One of his goals in creating restaurant identity was to give people a place where they could feel at ease enough to let their inner kid come out and really enjoy their experiences. The brand is open, cheerful and has plenty of fun elements to help make that happen. And who could pass up a place full of such awesome typography?
