The Geometry of Pasta: An Artfully Designed Recipe Book
The Geometry of Pasta: An Artfully Designed Recipe Book
I first saw The Geometry of Pasta in a pricey little delicatessen shop in a Vegas hotel. It stood out on the shelf amongst the thin stemware and twiggy utensils with its bold, contrasting and minimalist designs.
The recipe and pasta book designed by Caz Hildebrand of Here Design and written by acclaimed Bocca di Lupo chef Jacob Kenedy, features modern and graphic illustrations of pasta shapes created by Lisa Vandy. The recipe book features over 100 authentic recipes and discusses the secret of pairing sauces with the perfect shaped pasta to enhance flavors and dishes and to really cook and eat like an Italian.

I'm not sure if it would really help me cook any better, but it's definitely fun to browse. The Import also enjoyed the cookbook and took these great product shots, showing off the cover, jacket and interior pages.

And the Geometry site includes the illustrated dictionary of pasta shapes to browse online.
