Lomography Diana World Tour and Custom Diana Exhibit

The Diana World Tour celebrates the tactile art of the plastic snap-and-shoot Diana Camera. During production in the 1960s the cheap ($1) camera flopped and was discontinued in the 70s. But like everything hip-before-its-day, the Diana experienced a resurgence of popularity for it soft, bright and colorful images.

Lomography presents the New Zealand / Australia tour. The tour features workshops, photo displays and the Dietrich Collection, a display of over 100 originals and clones from Allan Detrich, featuring cameras with graphic elements and custom details.

Like the Vader Project, the tour includes and exhibit and auction of customized Dianas by 25 artists, turning an object for making art into an art object. (My faves: the Rabbit Ears (surprise), and the tripod camera).
