A New Take on the Egg Carton: Packaging Design by Sarah Machicado

As a student, Sarah Machicado created this alternative egg packaging concept. The sustainable carton is designed to house 6 extra large, organic brown eggs. She envisioned the packaging to be printed with soy-based inks on 100% post-consumer corrugated paper board—seems like a better alternative than the styrofoam or plastic versions. I wonder how well they would protect the eggs in transit.
