The Olympic Dreams Series by James Dodd: Photography

I really enjoyed this series from UK-based photographer James Dodd, especially the diving and underwater shots.

Olympic Dreams explores the culture of youth training for the 2012 Olympics to be held in the UK. Since winning the bid, funding for sports has increased dramatically, and recruitment and training has begun to search out and prepare the region's talent for the impending battles.

In high contrast and stark black and white, the series documents "the physical and mental expectations placed on these young shoulders, whilst questioning the role of children in such high-pressured roles in our society."
