Yves Marchand and Romain Meffre combed through the wreckages of what were once important and bustling meeting places and buildings in Detroit, Michigan.

The pair of French photographers documented the abandoned city buildings and theaters during several week-long trips between 2005 and 2009 and published their photo findings in the aptly titled "The Ruins of Detroit."
