Turf Geography Club: An iPhone Game of Foursquare Meets Monopoly in 8 Bit Style

Michael Tseng is the New York freelancer mastermind behind the new iPhone game concept Turf Geography Club.

The game, which he describes as a mix between Foursquare and Monopoly, is part social networking, part Sims-like challenge, where those who buy the most buildings, earn the most coins and hold the most trophies are the winners. The twist is that it is also location-based and includes messaging to invite and meet friends in places out in the real world.

The project already reached its funding goals on Kickstarter, and is now in the production phase for the iPhone, with an Android version to be released later. I dig the 8-bit style graphics and tuneage. Watch the video and see some graphic collateral below.
