Type Specimen Posters: Changethethought

Changethethought, a multi-disciplinary design studio, created these minimalist type specimen posters of some of their favorite fonts. With the Random Platitudes collection, Christopher Cox wanted to bring out the personality of each typeface by assigning it a platitude to communicate.

He has yet to print the posters, but employed an overlay technique with a folded paper background to create the illusion of physicality. That presents a great solution for designers who want to show what their work will look like printed—either for clients or personal work—without the expense of printing or the need for excellent photography (plus it's a time-saver).
