Ucy: Sleek, Modern Urban Cycles with Classic Bones
Ucy—Ucycles—sprung forth from their "less is best" mentality and a combined passion for cycling and design. And so, they began crafting minimalistic and elegant forms for urban streets. The sleek frames are handmade in Italy, and Ucy takes pride in their craftsmanship, uniting style and function in a durable machine.
Their Italian bicycles are made strictly from Columbus steel and Fly-100 for stainless models. For the parts that receive the greatest stress—such as dropouts and bridges—the frames are constructed with stainless steel. Their frames are unique in their particular brand of welding—“fillet brazed,” a technique perfected by their craftsmen frame builders with 50 years of experience. For Ucy, the payoff is the the details, "the bicycles are “dressed” with style combining colors and materials always in balance. The components used are the best that can offer the world market. The result is a product that combines the Italian tradition to the modern concept of the urban cycling tendency." The attention to detail stands out—see the goods below.

They also share a bit of their process / a behind the scenes glimpse of their work, and it's fun to see the frame and form go full circle.
