With the advent of smartphones, personal gps and mass social-media integration, life-tracking habits and devices are becoming more and more common, if not the norm. Much like the Nike Fuelband or the Jawbone UP, the wrist-worn Basis is a device that tracks wellness through heart rate and activity level.

Happily, Nixon finally acquired their brand domain name, and such an event deserves celebration and a polished redesign. Their last site was beautiful, but the new interface takes the best of the old and adds friendlier function. The new minimalist site design keeps the focus on the product while highlighting lifestyle. The front page has become a friendly lookbook and the interior product and category pages make browsing to buy a breeze while capturing the story and details behind each product.

As we all know, many sites we interact with on the internet could use facelifts. Sometimes, when something works it can be difficult to see how much the user experience could improve. Vladimir Kudinov is on a mission to make the internet a better place. The Russian designer says "We can make the Internet better, I believe in it... We can show the world community and the way in terms of design and usability, and together we will change the usual apathy and make our lives better."
