  • San Francisco-based designer and illustrator Brent Couchman has a portfolio packed with beautiful work, including a hearty collection of designs done for Fossil. • Part lovely, part emotive these illustrations by UK-based artist and illustrator Ismay Ozga are sketchy pencil renderings of lovely ladies with bold details and splashes of spot color.

I love the dashes of geometric and abstract shapes sprinkled in with the realistic drawings, many of which were drawn from photographs and models.

One such example is Takuya Hosogane, whose 2011 reel has a nice variety of design with a working beat, and I feel like I get to know the designer a bit when watching the clip.

  • You may recognize Adam Gault Studio from the Gettysburg Address motion graphic video we shared awhile back. The Long Island-based studio just released a portfolio reel which includes motion work from the past few years. The soundtrack works well for the artistic repetition of frames, and I like the way they framed the content, effectively combining clean news graphics with vintage-style animation.
